Mind the Gap

For those who have traveled the Underground Metro lines in London this might seem a bit out of place.

For those that have no idea what I am talking about, I apologize.

Mind the Gap is an invocation to Tube travelers to avoid falling down between the train and the platform when getting off or on the train.

It also refers to the distance between two parts of our being.

The creative space between the conscious and the unconscious - Mind.

Let me continue the metaphor, if I may...

We stand around on the platform of life waiting for the next train of thought, it comes and we step onto it and are whisked off to a destination we think we are going to.

Safe in believing that this train of thought is the vehicle for our habitual thinking and conditioning. We let it take us hither and thither. Often along with a thousand others (thoughts) bunched into a space like sardines in a tin.

Fun, is it not, this rush hour or twenty four?

Then you see there is this gap...and there are health and safety experts admonishing us avoid and mind the gap or all hell will be let loose or at best accidents will occur.

So like the good sheep being shepherded by the good shepherd we step across into the sometimes sweaty, often overcrowded, isolated, uncommunicative islands of own thought that make up this carriage on the train of thought.

Ever thought what it might be like to NOT mind the gap?

Ever plunged into the unknown?

Why not give it a try sometime. You may be surprised to learn that what others fear or are terrified by is in fact the doorway to freedom.

"Jump," he said to those hovering near the edge, terrified and unbelieving they could fly.

"Jump," he repeated as most shrunk back from the edge.

"Jump," he insisted as one brave and terrified individual remained close to the edge.

" I cannot," the nearly brave one pleaded.

"Of course you can," the master assured.

"Can I?"

" Of course," the master replied pushing her over the edge.

...and she flew.

Be brave, do not play safe. Risk all and come up smelling of roses

Health Warning for idiots:
Do not attempt to push yourself or anyone into the gap between a platform and train.
Trains are fast dangerous oncoming objects that can kill at speed.
Use your five senses and your sixth will look after you.
